In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

A Court Martial held on board HMS WINDSOR on the 16th instant Captain Thomas Warren C in C of HM Ships bound for the East Indies President. Benjamin Goslin Gunner of HMS SOUTHAMPTON was tried for embezzling HM Stores. Fined 5 months pay to the Chest at Chatham. And Samuel Middleton late Chaplin to the DREADNOUGHT tried at the same time for speaking treasonable seditious words about His Majesty and the present Government. Sentenced to forfeit all pay due to him to the Chest at Chatham. Enclosed are copies of the sentences and direct you to take care that the fines are payed to the Chatham Chest.
