In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Hereby we are informed that a considerable sum of money has been allocated to the Navy, and so more will be furnished weekly for wages to Seamen serving in the Fleet. We direct you to pay seamen on the ships at Spithead and Portsmouth bound for Foreign voyages to be paid, if possible, before they depart and their books have been made up. There is a considerable number of men who joined the Navy following the Kings Proclamation this Summer and due a Bounty, this is to be paid as fast as possible.
