In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We require HM Ships STIRLING CASTLE, HUMBER, BREDAH and OXFORD at Portsmouth to be paid off and laid up there. And all their Foremast men, excluding Commanders and Warrant Officers servants to be turned over to the DREADNOUGHT. The inferior Officers servants are also be sent to the DREADNOUGHT. We also require you to give orders for the Ordinary and Riggers of Chatham and Sheerness Yards to assist in taking HMS CORNWALL from the Buoy at the Nore to Blackstakes to remove her guns, stores and provisions and then to Chatham to be paid off and Laid up, and all her Foremast Men, excepting servants of the Commander and Warrant officers to be sent to the RUBY PRIZE at the Nore. You are also to order the repairs to HM Ships STIRLING CASTLE, HUMBER, BREDAH and OXFORD at Portsmouth and CORNWALL at Chatham to be taken in hand and fitted for Sea with all dispatch.
