Correspondence between R. C. Anderson, Harringtons Chartered Surveyors and Lecky.
Letter to Lecky from R. C. Anderson who paid in advance for future volumes of 'The King's Ships'. He had written to the 'King's Ships Publishing Company, but his letter was returned from Harringtons Surveyors, explaining the company was defunct. A handwritten draft of Lecky's reply to Anderson explains that the King's Ships Publishing Company was set up by three men with the stated intention of publishing the remaining three volumes, but that these men turned out to be fraudsters and the volumes remained unpublished.
