In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Re your report of 10th November 1689 that Robert Pearse Surgeon has served n several ships for 13 years 11months and 3 weeks which is more than the Establishment for Superannuated Officers and by reason of his age (60) and bad eyesight makes him unfit for further service at sea, and was discharged from HMS DUKE. By HM in Council of 11of April 1690 he is to paid quarterly for the rest of his natural life.
