In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Having reported the failures of several Commanders of HM Ships recently paid to follow Admiralty Instructions. Captain Thomas Guillam Commander of HMS DUCHESS and Captain Francis [Wivell] of HMS SOUDADOS. They have acknowledged their failings and [promised to be very careful in future and we direct you to pay the wages owing to them.
