In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

In your report to this Board of the 5th inst; upon the Petition of the Clerk of the Survey at the Woolwich Yard you informed us that his Salary is fifty pounds per annum, whereas the Salary of the same Officer at Chatham is one hundred, and at Deptford and Portsmouth sixty pounds per annum.
You judge that the Woolwich Clerk deserves equal Salary as the same Officer at Deptford and Portsmouth, and we direct you to cause this accordingly, the said increase to commence at Christmas last.
