In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have this day a directed the Sum of fifty nine thousand six hundred and eight pounds three shillings and four pence to be forthwith issued at the receipt of the Exchequer unto the Navy Treasurer, out of the Loans on the 2d twelve months Aid, being in further part of the sum of one million appropriated by the Act of Parliament for granting of the said Aid to the uses of the Navy and Ordnance.
We direct you to cause this Sum to be applied to Victualling, the Payment of Officers and Seamen, Wear and Tear, and the building of a Dry Dock and two Wet Docks at Portsmouth, as detailed. Signed Sidney Godolphin; John Lowther; Richard Hampden; Henry fox [Treasury Officers].
