In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Anthony Hastings, Commander of the SANDWICH, has applied for payment of money lately disbursed by him in procuring seamen at Bristol, and paying conduct money, for which he has drawn bills of exchange on your board. We direct you to pay these bills, taking care that Captain Hastings gives an account of the disbursements and that men are not paid conduct money again by the Clerk of the Cheque.
