In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Thomas Kirk, Master Carpenter of the SOVEREIGN, is to be appointed Second Assistant to the Master Shipwright at Chatham, in place of Robert Shortis appointed Master Caulker of the yard. You are directed to enter Thomas Kirk accordingly, together with such allowance of salary , privileges and immunities as is proper, until further order. His warrant is to be dated 15 February 1692.
