In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
In consideration of your letter of 1 February about the greater allowance of water casks to the fleet, we direct you to have the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Rate ships to have half as much more water casks as is presently allowed. In pursuance of His Majesty's order, you are directed to have four 4th Rate frigates (of the dimensions of those last built at Deptford, Woolwich and Portsmouth) to be built viz. one at Woolwich, another at Chatham when the PRINCE is completed, a third at Portsmouth and a fourth at Plymouth.
