In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Commander of the MONCK has reported that the rudder is unsafe. A survey of the ship is ordered at the Nore with a recommendation as to which Yard she is to be sent for repair. Orders are given for the CENTURION, CHESTER,PORTSMOUTH and MILFORD to be cleaned and refitted for service in the Channel - two at Portsmouth and two at Sheerness - together with three months Victuals.
