In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to order sufficient men from the DOVER to be sent on board the LEOPARD to bring her up to Deptford, and then returned to the DOVER. Your letter of 12 April advised us that the DOVER was so weak that she was not fitted for a long voyage without repairs. We direct that, notwithstanding our former orders for fitting her for the West Indies, she be fitted for service in the Channel. She is to be manned to her highest complement of men and victualled for 3 months. You also advised us that the Master Shipwright at Woolwich , proposes the launching of the BREDAH on 23 April.
