In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Requiring surveys to be made with costs of refitting and victualling the two Fireships called the ST VINCENT and the RUZEE recently taken from the French and now at Portsmouth together with recommendations for the number of Men and Armaments required to equip them. The Admiralty also requires the French Prize Wild also at Portsmouth to be urgently fitted for sea for service in the Channel with two months' Victuals. The crewing and arming of the latter is to be as per the Navy Board's letter of the fourth of June.
