Enclosure: Copy of a letter from the Earl of Nottingham in which he refers to having presented a proposal to the Court concerning the keeping of the Capital ships in pay over the winter. The Queen has responded by asking for an immediate Estimate of how much can be saved from the Wages of the Men in First and Second Rates by discharging them together with the cost of assembling replacement Crews.
