In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Fairborne Commander of the MONCK has reported that deck timbers supporting the mainmast have sprung. An instruction is given for the cause to be enquired into with an opinion given as to whether the damage could have been caused by negligence on the part of Officers. The ships named in the margin are to be supplied with Victuals from the MONMOUTH and WARSPITE as ordered by Sir Cloudesley Shovell.
