In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Enclosure: Copy of a letter from Mr Robert Meade at Beadly Bay in which he informs that acting on the instructions of Captain Greenhill a Commissioner at Plymouth he has inspected the ship AMERICA and has found her to be badly damaged by running onto rocks. In his opinion there is little hope of salvaging her cargo of masts unless the ship is broken up which in itself poses serious problems. He aske for further instructions.
