Enclosure: Extract of a letter from Captain Foulks Commander of the MONTAGU in which he reports that the ship is taking in water and airs the opinion that this is due to poor workmanship by the Builders' Assistant at Portsmouth. He announces his intention of making for Plymouth despite having to pump continuously.
