In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
In your letter of the 4th inst; you informed us that the French Privateer lately taken by the PEARL and now at Deptford is fitting to be employed as a Man of War, and you detailed your opinion as to the number of Men and number and nature of Ordnance fitting to be established on her in War at home and abroad, and in Peace at home and abroad, and to be established as a sixth Rate.
We signify our approval thereof, and she should be named PEARL PRIZE and fitted out for Channel service with her highest complement of Men and victualled for three months.
