In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you upon the arrival of the hired Ship SAMUEL and HENRY at DEPTFORD to cause her to be surveyed and report made in what time she can be refitted and put into a condition for service at sea.
We further direct you to cause the Commander of the DEVONSHIRE, now fitting at Portsmouth, to be furnished with two fitting Vessels for impresting Seamen for manning the said Ship, as she has not been completely manned since her launching and may therefore require more Men than other third Rates.
