Papers relating to Thursfield’s training as a cadet on HMS BRITANNIA at Dartmouth between January 1897 and May 1898, including examination papers, certificates, term reports, details of prizes and expense accounts. There are price lists of articles and text books required by naval cadets, supplied by J. Greive & Sons outfitters, Portsmouth. Also some typescript lists of BRITANNIA cadets, providing details of promotions, appointments, where they were serving in 1917 and after.
