In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Upon application to this Board by Captain Hughes, Commander of the PEARL, for allowance of Money Disbursements by him at Balboa in converting the Prize Ship ST. VINCENT into a Fireship, we direct you to cause the accounts of the said Disbursements to be examined, and make him such allowances as the Rules of the Navy will admit, or if there is anything extraordinary, to report it to this board, together with your opinion what is fitting to be done.
