In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Orton, Commander of the hired Ship LONDON MERCHANT, who was ordered to convoy the Transport Ships and forty Shallops to the Downs, has informed us by his letter of July 2nd that the two months victuals directed by us to be sent down to the said Ship have not arrived. We direct you to examine the reason for the delay and give this Board an account thereof.
