In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Upon application to this Board by the relations of Captain Clifford Chamberlain, late Commander of the hired Ship BERKELEY CASTLE, for payment of his Wages for the time he commanded the Ship, and in consideration of what was discussed with you when attending us, touching the supernumeraries borne on the said Ship, we direct you to allow the Captain for victualling the Soldiers who were brought by him from the East Country, together with the Pilot and shipwrecked Men, and that abatement be made out of his Pay for the other supernumeraries, both of Victuals and Wages.
