In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Captain Martin and Captain Ash, two of the Captains in the Marine Regiments have lately made application to this Board informing that a detachment of Soldiers from the said Regiments were sent on board the RUPERT, MORDAUNT, SWALLOW, RESERVE and SAPHIRE in 1690, and were furnished with Clothes and Money.
They desire they may be reimbursed out of the Wages due to these Soldiers, the particulars of which Disbursements are expressed in in an account which we received in your letter of the 4th inst;
We direct that as these Marines receive their Wages you inform yourselves what Clothes and Money were furnished to them by the Captains in order that deductions are made from out of their Pay as shall appear reasonable.
