In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to contract for building in Merchant Yards either in this River or in the Out Ports two Frigates of the 4th Rate of the like dimensions with those last ordered to be built in their Majesties' Yards.
We direct you to cause allowances to be made to the Officers and Companies of the Fireships that were lost in service this year in consideration of the loss of their Clothes.
The Service at present cannot spare a 5th Rate Frigate to to assist the weighing of the HENRIETTA's wreck at Plymouth. We direct you to hire such Men necessary to assist in that work at the best terms you can.
If the Hulk at Sheerness is fitting to be employed on the like service at Chatham you are to cause her to be moved there, and and replaced by the LEOPARD Hulk. Otherwise the LEOPARD should should continue at Chatham and be used for receiving Stores and Provisions and accommodation of the Men of such Ships refitted there.
