In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We are informed by the Commissioners of Transportation in their letter of today that two of the Transport Ships now at Portsmouth, namely the SPOTTED CALF of Bristol, John Knight Master, and the PELICAN of Bideford, Peter Trings Master, having by accidents, the former lost the Bowsprit, and the other broke it, we direct you to order the Navy Commissioners at Portsmouth to furnish the Ships with Bowsprits out of their Majesties' Stores there, taking care that their Masters pay the value of the Bowsprits they are furnished with.
