In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Application has been made to us on behalf of Francis Young, late Master of the SALEM Pink, which was sunk by going on board the CAPTAIN ( and concerning which you made Report on July 7th) alleging that he was not heard by you in his own defence, and that he can make it clear by good evidence that it was not through any default of him, or his Company, that the Pink went on board the CAPTAIN.
We direct you to hear what can be offered by Francis Young, and what evidence he shall produce for you concerning this matter, and then make a further Report together with your opinion.
