In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
There is a Privateer at Plymouth, lately taken from the French called the SUN, which we are informed is fitting to be employed in the service of the Navy. We direct you to cause a survey to be taken of her and send us an account of her dimensions with your opinion what number of Men and number and nature of Ordnance are fitting for her, and of what Rate she should be established.
You are to cause her to be fitted for Channel service, sending us a charge thereof, and victualled for three months or as much as she can conveniently stow.
