In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Reference our meeting yesterday re HMS Devonshire we direct you to dock her at Portsmouth as soon as other work allows in order to survey her and do any work that can be carried out by the next Spring tide, then re dock her when other work allows. Re the Tartan prize recently used as a Tender at Portsmouth and fitted as a Privateer by the Owner although on that account greatly overvalued. We do hereby direct you not to purchase her despite our previous Order.
