In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Whereas we are informed by Captain William Wright Commander of HMS ROYAL WILLIAM that 20 men (named in the Margin) belonging to that ship by our order of 31st August that he took with him in HMS CROWN to Alderney and Sark were made Run by the Clark of the Cheque at Chatham on the ROYAL WILLIAM'S book. We direct you to give us an account of how they came to be made Run, if they were in the employ of Captain Wright because of our Orders you are to have the said Run to be taken off.
