In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Our orders of 11 July directed that you deduct clothes money out of the pay for some soldiers of Marine Regiments which were detached from them and put on board their Majesties' ships. Clothes appear tgo have been furnished by Captain Martyn and Captain Ash, two of the captains of these regiments. You are directed to deduct money for clothes as the soldiers themselves should own to have received or shall appear to you by sufficient proof to have been supplied by the said captains.
