In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

In pursuance of His Majesty's pleasure signified on 14 November, on our report on the petition of Mary Carter, widow of Rear Admiral Carter, who was slain in the late engagement with the French. You are directed to have a pension of £200 a year paid to her to commence from the time of her husband's death, to be paid quarterly by bills on the Treasurer of the Navy out of the ordinary charges of the Navy.
