In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have considered your report on the petition of John Hooper, late Boatswain of the MONTAGUE, and you are directed in pursuance of the Establishment for Officers Superannuated in the Service of the Navy, made by His Majesty in Council dated 11 October 1690, to settle a pension on John Hooper during his natural life equal to the wages and allowances made to Boatswains of 3rd Rate ships. This is to be from the time he was discharged from the MONTAGUE. You are to sign quarterly bills on the Treasurer of the Navy for paying this pension.
