In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The French Privateer FORTUNE has been captured by the DEPTFORD and PORTSMOUTH and taken into Plymouth. An Order is given for her to be established as a Fireship with the same crew and armamnets and victualled for four months' for service in the Channel. The French Sloop taken by the SUDADOES and taken into Plymouth and the small Prize taken into Plymouth by the GERMOON are to be kept at Plymouth ready to go on recruiting duty. The letter concludes with giving instructions for the treatment of captured Privateers and their disposal for the benefit of the ships that took them.
