In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
In obedience to your command concerning the men and patereros [mortars] for the DILIGENCE brigantine, we have considered this and in our opinion two falcon guns of about 500 weight each mounted is a sufficient number and that iron patereros will service as brass, allowing brass chambers to each paterero and the same number and weight of patereros and number of men as in our report of 7 April. Signed by Deptford Dockyard Officers.
