In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Mr Thomas Copping, Rector of the parish of St Olav Hartstreet, is to be appointed Minister and Preacher of the Word of God, on board their Majesties' ships and vessels lying in ordinary and rigging at Deptford, and of their Majesties' yachts there and at Greenwich, in the place of Mr George Freeman, deceased. You are to give order and warrant to the Treasurer of the Navy to have Mr Copping paid the fourpences a month allowed out of every man's pay and in ordinary and rigging wages at Deptford and of the yachts. He is to hold this place until further order and his warrant is dated 6 April 1693.
