In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

You wrote to our Secretary on 3 April, advising us that the Shipwrights sent to Hull inform you that there is sufficient white sound timber in those parts sufficient for building a ship of 60 guns, or one of the 3rd Rate, and you ask whether you shall contract with Mr Frame, who built the HUMBER lately launched, for building either of those rates. You are directed to contract with Mr Frame for building either a ship of the same dimensions as the HUMBER, or one of 60 guns as you think most fitting.
