In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The King has given orders to the Council in Scotland to provide a number of seamen to serve in the fleet this year, and to be put on board such ships as are appointed to receive them at Leith, and to direct that each man shall receive 40 shillings as their Majesties' Bounty. Captain Bridges, Commander of the CENTURION, to receive on board at Leith such seamen as shall be sent to him.
