In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Mr Timewell, the Navy Commissioner at Portsmouth, has informed us that the JAMES GALLY has been obliged to stay in that Port for want of a dispatch from the Victuallers' Instruments, and other of their Majesties' Ships coming in to refit since he entered his employment have been delayed as well in the taking out and putting on board their Provisions.
We direct you to order the Victualling Commissioners to take particular care that their Majesties' Ships may not meet with any such delays for the future.
