Your letter of the 13th inst; informed us of the Wages due to Thomas Podd junr; Shipwright, who some time since belonged to the Portsmouth Yard, for his service on board the DOVER, and that you have no objection to this payment, but his being made Run in the Portsmouth Yard Books for absenting himself from there after he had informed the Commissioner that John Berry of Gosport had induced him and others to steal their Majesties' Stores.
We direct you to pay his Wages notwithstanding he is made Run in the Books of the Portsmouth Yard.
