In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Proposed by Mr Russell, Treasurer of the Navy. That the Receipts hitherto given by the Cashiers of the Victualling be turned into Imprests by the Navy Board, and for the future all Money issued for for the Victualling to be paid on Bills of Imprest made out by the Navy Commissioners to the Cashier of the Victualling. All which Imprests to pass on the Treasurer of the Navy's Ledgers, and to be annually cleared in the Exchequer by the Accounts of the Cashier of the Victualling.

The Treasury Commissioners refer this Memorial to the Navy Board Commissioners, who are to consider the same and report to their Lordships their opinion as to what is fitting to be done. Signed by William Lowndes, Treasury Secretary (signed in Mr Guy's absence).
