In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We think it necessary for the EAGLE, appointed to lie at the Buoy of the Nore to procure men for the fleet, should have such quantity of provisions, both wet and dry, constantly on board so that ships and vessels coming to the Buoy of the Nore and in want of provisions, may receive them more speedily. You are directed to have the EAGLE supplied with a such quantity of provisions as she can conveniently stow. The HAMPSHIRE has been ordered to proceed to westward and you are to have her furnished as soon as possible with a month's provisions from Dover, where she has been directed to call.
