In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Several Hamburg merchants, having been with us this afternoon, desired that one of their ships appointed convoy to go to the East Country, may proceed before that convoy as far as the River Elbe, and then on to Elsinore to join the other ships. You are directed to give us your opinion whether the NEW AFRICA, one of the East Country convoy, may proceed, without inconvenience to the Navy, to the River Elbe with the other ships.
