In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You informed us in your letter of 8 August, that having examined Captain John Votiars papers and his observance of the Instructions during the time he commanded the ISABELLA yacht, and for the RICHMOND, you find he has borne two men on the yacht's books longer than he ought. He has not strictly complied with his Instructions in the Muster Books sent to you for the yacht and ship. We have considered this and determined to pass these faults and direct you to pay the wages due to him, taking care that their Majesties are not subject to any unnecessary charge.
