Upon consideration of your letter of 24 July, we agreed to pay Captain Torpley wages due to him for his service in the ships LION and EDGAR, to the time when we agreed to forgive Commanders for not complying with the Instructions of the Admiralty, but not to pay him to the time of his suspension. You are now directed to pay him for that time also.
