In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
I have read your report on the petition of the under clerks and other inferior officers to the Commissioners of the Treasury, praying relief in the assessment made upon their salaries by virtue of an Act of Parliament granting an aid of 4 shillings per pound to their Majesties. Their Lordships direct that you make bills to the Treasurer of the Navy for paying the taxes of those officers whose salaries do not exceed £60 per annum
