In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
John Bately, late Master Carpenter of the HAWK fireship, is to be appointed Master Carpenter of the new 5th Rate building by Mr Ellis at Shoreham. You are to enter him accordingly, as soon as she is ready to receive him, together with such allowance of wages and victuals for himself and servant. His warrant is to be dated 16 August 1693.
