In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Knapp, Commander of the NEW AFRICA hired ship, has informed us in his letter of yesterday that he had neither a pilot nor provisions. You are directed to have the same hastened down to her with the greatest dispatch, the ships to be convoyed by her to Hambrough [Hamburg] being ready to sail from the Nore. The MILFORD, being appointed to convoy the ships going to Norway for masts, you are directed to let us know where the ships are and when they will be ready to sail, that orders may be given to the Commander of the MILFORD. You are also to have an able pilot sent down to the ships at the Nore.
