Thomas Garland is to be appointed Purser of the new 5th Rate building by Mr Barrett at Shoreham. You are to enter him accordingly as soon as she is ready to receive him, together with such allowance of wages and victuals for himself and servant. His warrant is to be dated 22 August 1693.
